We are looking for a Lead Designer to join our exciting and ambitious agency. This is a unique opportunity to become the right-hand person to our Managing Director in the UK and you’ll help shape the agency's future during its growth phase.

As the Lead Designer, you will evolve and optimise our agency's proposition, and have a strong voice in technology and design discussions with clients and industry professionals. You will be a true design leader.

Our approach is to partner with our clients to understand their business, customers, sector, and challenges to deliver solutions that add real value.

We are seeking to expand our horizons and identify new business opportunities that will challenge our team. As a key member of our team, your role will involve effectively communicating our offering and identifying interesting business challenges where our combined technical and design expertise could make a real difference.

Working closely with our prospective clients, you will present work and act as the creative voice in client meetings. You must have presence, gravitas, and the ability to hold your own in front of clients.

This role is focused on driving and improving the creative vision of the team and the agency as a whole. We are not just looking for a world-class designer but an inspiring creative leader as well.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Develop a strong understanding of your clients' business, needs, and capabilities by building a strong personal partnership with key clients. Leverage this relationship to sell our services with conviction and commercial acumen, as well as to identify future opportunities for us to unlock strategically and creatively.
• Build and improve our case studies, credentials decks, marketing assets, value proposition, and communication of successful projects delivered, translating them into offerings that suit new sales opportunities.
• Be the creative voice of the agency, and elevate the agency's visibility through talks, webinars, thought leadership content, podcasts, and participating in design conversations and debates.
• Develop and nurture the skills of the team, and create a positive work environment that inspires them. Regularly coach and mentor the team to help them improve their weaknesses and maximise the impact of their strengths.
• Ensure the quality and timely completion of all projects assigned to members of the design team. Continually push for an even higher standard, and demonstrate the levels you expect. Also, build systems and rituals that infuse quality into everything we do.
• Foster an environment where the team feels empowered, continuously learns, and isn't afraid of failure. Encourage debate, sharing of ideas, and a philosophy of continuous improvement with the team.
• Be a key player in a high-performing SLT. Always look at how we can improve, solve problems, and drive the business forward.
